I chose to use the Twenty Twenty-Four WordPress theme for my website. It has all of the functionality my site needs, is up-to-date, and has many customizable features that I get free access to. The key feature that stands out about it is that it is completely free. With the theme I used for my last website, Hestia, the background image moving with the screen was cool, but most of the customizable features were locked behind a pricey subscription. In my opinion, that con outweighed all of its pros. It was very upsetting that I was unable to change the background of my posts so that it could be dark-themed and nicer on the eyes. So, instead, I am happy to be choosing this completely free theme. There are a lot of customization tools, and the widgets are easy to alter however I like. I customized this theme to make my site look exactly how I always wanted it to. It now has Victorian-style text, a nice dark background, changes to the font size, width of the content, a header, a footer, and a navigation bar. I believe this will benefit me and my visitors by welcoming them immediately with a glimpse of the style of art I mainly create. I may make future adjustments to the theme depending on what my main pages end up looking like, and if I think they need any alterations to appear more physically appealing.
