Hestia offers a wide variety of customizable widgets. Here are a few examples:
1. Footer One
Footer one is the first block of information at the very end of a webpage that couldn’t fit at the top. Many webpages use it as a spot for contact info, important legal pages, or secondary navigation.
2. Footer Two
Footer two is similar to footer one. They serve the same purpose, except footer two is underneath footer one. It is a good way to organize that extra information at the bottom of the page.
3. Footer Three
Similar to footer two, this widget sits at the very bottom of the page. Footer three sits under footer one and two. It serves the same purpose as both. It is another way to organize the extra information at the bottom of the page.
4. Subscribe
This widget is useful for allowing users/website visitors to get regular updates on new posts or changes on the website.
5. Sidebar
The sidebar widget displays content, interactive tools, or navigation links in a vertical column, separate from the page’s main content. It could also contain links to recent posts, social media, search bars, and much more.
I chose to add the “footer one” and “subscribe” widgets. I used the footer widget to display my website’s categories, such as “Drawings”, “Lesson Concepts”, and a few more. It would make my website easier to navigate.
I also added the “subscribe” widget to hopefully get visitors more interested in my site.
In time, I will likely add more widgets, but I’ll try to refrain from making my site too crowded.
Other customizable features
I also customized the font to be in a more gothic style, which fits my vibe and shows visitors a glimpse of my style. I changed the background image and colors, as well, to make it easier on the eyes and more physically appealing.
